Gut‐Targeted Nutraceutical Delivery: Engineering Microbiome‐Responsive Nutraceutical Interfaces

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The gut microbiome plays a central role in maintaining host health, influencing immunity, metabolism, epithelial integrity, and the gut–brain axis. Dysbiosis of this complex microbial ecosystem is implicated in a variety of chronic diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease, metabolic syndrome, and neurological disorders.

Structural Characterization and Functional Properties of Turmeric Pomace Polysaccharides‐Curcumin Nanoparticles

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Structural characterization confirms turmeric pomace polysaccharides (TPP) efficiently loads curcumin (CUR) into TPP‐CUR nanoparticles. The nanoparticles exhibit good environmental stability, sustained intestinal release of CUR, and antioxidant protection in H₂O₂‐stressed HepaRG cells.

Digestive Characteristics and Stability of Walnut Polyphenols From Diaphragma juglandis Fructus, Walnut Pellicle, and Flowers of Juglans regia

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the ultrasound‐assisted extraction of polyphenols from three sources: Diaphragma juglandis fructus (DJF), walnut pellicle (WP), and flowers of Juglans regia (FJR). Initially, we assessed the transformation of walnut polyphenols through simulated gastric and gastrointestinal digestion using in vitro models.
