A Case Report of a Patient With Recalcitrant Pemphigus Vulgaris Treated With Rituximab

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Pemphigus vulgaris may demonstrate differential treatment responses across disease sites. In this case, cutaneous lesions responded to high‐dose corticosteroids, whereas refractory oral disease required rituximab to achieve remission, highlighting the need for individualized, multimodal therapy to achieve sustained disease control.

CD20 expression regulates CD37 levels in B-cell lymphoma – implications for immunotherapies

open access: yesOncoImmunology
Rituximab (RTX) plus chemotherapy (R-CHOP) applied as a first-line therapy for lymphoma leads to a relapse in approximately 40% of the patients. Therefore, novel approaches to treat aggressive lymphomas are being intensively investigated.

Lack of Differences in the Pharmacokinetics of Therapeutic Monoclonal Antibodies Between Japanese and Non‐Japanese Individuals

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 66, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Evaluation of the pharmacokinetics (PK) of new drugs in Japanese individuals is regularly requested by the Japanese regulatory agency prior to participation in global clinical trials or for bridging approaches for regulatory approval. However, the need for PK assessments in the Japanese population may be less compelling for monoclonal ...

Infection Incidence and Survival in Patients With Multiple Myeloma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia: A Growing Concern in the Era of Modern Therapies

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with multiple myeloma (MM) and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) are burdened by immunodeficiency due to treatment and underlying disease. Infection‐related mortality remains a significant concern for patients' overall survival (OS). Methods This Swedish, population‐based study examined incidence of infections and OS in

CD20-directed antibody-drug conjugates in non-hodgkin lymphoma: translating preclinical promise into clinical reality

open access: yesJournal of Hematology & Oncology
Despite the paradigm-shifting success of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies like rituximab, limitations such as antigen loss, impaired host immune effector functions, and resistance remain key challenges in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).
