AMPK‐Mediated Lipid Metabolic Reprogramming in Cancer: From Mechanisms to Targeted Therapies

open access: yesCell Biochemistry and Function, Volume 44, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK), a key regulator of cellular energy metabolism, is activated under conditions of energy stress to restore metabolic homeostasis by promoting catabolic pathways and inhibiting anabolic processes such as lipid synthesis. Multiple key molecules involved in lipid metabolism are regulated by AMPK, and its role in

Gallstone formation and hepatobiliary tumour risk: Clinical implications of the bile acid–gut microbiota axis

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 5, October 2026.
1. Irregular dietary patterns (e.g., late breakfast, reduced meal frequency) upregulate the bai gene cluster by disrupting cholecystokinin (CCK) release rhythms and gut microbiota circadian rhythms, leading to increased production of secondary bile acids, particularly DCA. High‐carbohydrate dietary patterns increase gallstone risk (OR = 1.329).

Dermatomyositis Like Presentation of Anti‐HMGCR Immune Mediated Necrotising Myopathy

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice
Extramuscular manifestations of anti‐3‐hydroxy‐3‐methylglutaryl‐coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR) immune‐mediated necrotising myopathy (IMNM) are rare and often overlooked because they are overshadowed by predominant muscular symptoms.

Glycoproteomic Signatures of IgG Subclass N‐Glycosylation Reveal Molecular Endotypes in Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
• EThcD‐sceHCD‐MS/MS and updated PANDA software decode IgG N‐glycosylation in IIMs. • Unsupervised clustering reveals three novel glyco‐endotypes matching clinical phenotypes. • A seven‐glycopeptide model enables robust endotype prediction beyond conventional subtypes.

Laboratory tests and clinical significance of anti-3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase antibody

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2016
Anti-3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR) antibody is a newly recognized autoantibody, which is associated with the use of statins and is considered as an immunological marker of necrotizing autoimmune myopathy (NAM).

Cholesterol 25‐Hydroxylase Deficiency Provides an Optimal and Durable Protective T Helper 1 Immunity via Interleukin‐12–Interleukin‐2 Axis in BCG‐Vaccinated Mice

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
CH25H deficiency permits optimal dendritic cell activation following BCG exposure, characterized by increased IL‐12p70 production. In vivo, CH25H deficiency promotes enhanced BCG‐mediated protection and sustained IL‐2 producing T cell response. ABSTRACT Bacillus Calmette‐Guérin (BCG) remains the only licensed vaccine for tuberculosis (TB), yet its ...

Pathogénicité des auto-anticorps anti-SRP et anti-HMGCR au cours des myopathies nécrosantes auto-immunes

open access: yes, 2017
Autoimmune myopathies (AIM), classically called myositis or idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, represent a group of diseases characterized by clinical, histopathologic and biologic properties.

Immunopathogenesis of Immune-Mediated Necrotizing Myopathy: Insights Drawn from Pathological Phenotypes and Mechanistic Elaboration

open access: yesBiomedicines
Immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) is a distinct subtype of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs), classified by serum autoantibody status into anti-signal recognition particle (anti-SRP)-positive, anti-3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A ...

Treatment experience of Taiwanese patients with anti‐3‐hydroxy‐3‐methylglutaryl‐coenzyme A reductase myopathy

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2020
Immune‐mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) has emerged as a new subgroup of idiopathic inflammatory myopathy in the past decade, associated with the presence of two autoantibodies against signal recognition particle and 3‐hydroxy‐3‐methylglutaryl ...
