Human digital Meissner's corpuscles are not doubly innervated
Abstract Recent studies have shown that murine and avian Meissner‐like corpuscles are innervated by two distinct mechanoreceptor afferents with different functional properties. In addition, there is evidence that one subpopulation of Meissner corpuscles of monkeys is doubly innervated by mechanoreceptors and nociceptors.

Anti-nociceptive and antipyretic activities of Solanum violaceum ortega
Solanum violaceum Ortega has been used by the traditional medicine practitioners in pain and fever. This study aimed at investigating anti-nociceptive and antipyretic activities of methanol extract of leaf (MELSV), fruit (MEFSV) and root (MERSV) of S ...

Early Synovial Regulatory T Cell Engagement in Posttraumatic Osteoarthritis
Objective Posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) develops despite restoration of joint biomechanics, suggesting that early postinjury biologic processes within the synovium shape disease trajectories. We investigated whether synovial Treg cells are engaged during the early phase following joint injury and whether experimental enrichment of this ...

Abstract Cyclizine is a long‐established, short‐acting drug, registered for preventing motion sickness, post‐operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) and ‘vomiting of known cause’. The latter is not defined but may include pregnancy and patients receiving palliative care, historically accepted without large, controlled trials.

Abstract Background Elp1, a subunit of the Elongator complex, is essential for tRNA modification and neuronal development. Mutations in ELP1 underlie familial dysautonomia (FD), a disorder marked by sensory and autonomic neuropathy. While loss of Elp1 disrupts trigeminal ganglion formation and survival, the downstream molecular consequences remain ...

Evaluation of Anti-Nociceptive and Analgesic Activities of Nizatidine in Mice [PDF]
Previous research reports revealed that histamine H2 receptor blockers such as ranitidine and famotidine showed analgesic activity in rodent models. However, the analgesic or anti-nociceptive activity of nizatidine, a most widely used H2 receptor blocker,

PRDM16 is necessary for sensory neuronal development and differentiation in the trigeminal ganglion
Abstract Background Cranial neural crest cells (cNCC) generate craniofacial cartilage, bone, and peripheral neurons and glia, and birth defects arise when the cartilage/neuronal/glial progenitors fail to differentiate. PRDM16 is a transcriptional regulator containing both zinc‐finger and SET domains, implicated in craniofacial development and orofacial
