PDE4D and PDE3B orchestrate distinct cAMP microdomains in 3T3‐L1 adipocytes

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Basal conditions: •Ins/PDE3B lowers cytoplasmic cAMP (cyt‐cAMP) without affecting plasma membrane cAMP (pm‐cAMP). •Insulin decreases lipid droplet cAMP (LD‐cAMP) independent of PDE3B. •FGF1/PDE4D modestly reduces both cyt‐ and pm‐cAMP, while PDE4D alone can modulate LD‐cAMP. ISO stimulation: •Ins/PDE3B has minimal impact on cyt‐cAMP.

Agonist‐specific conformational dynamics at the β2‐adrenoceptor dictate allosteric modulation of Gαs signalling and bronchodilation

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose β2‐adrenoceptor (β2AR) agonists are the cornerstone of asthma therapy and promote bronchodilation through Gαs signalling in airway smooth muscle (ASM), but their efficacy is limited by β‐arrestin‐mediated β2AR desensitization.

Dental Pulp Stem Cell‐Derived Intracellular Vesicles Inhibit OSCC by Delivering PTEN to Suppress PI3K/AKT/mTOR Signalling Pathway

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
DPSC‐IVs suppressed PI3K/AKT/mTOR signalling pathway by delivering PTEN to tumour cells, which reduced the expression of Bcl‐2 and elevated that of Bax. Meanwhile, DPSC‐IVs activated PINK1/Parkin mediated mitophagy, which further raised ROS levels.

Comparative Toxicity of Bordeaux Mixture by Ingestion and Cuticular Contact Under Climate Change Conditions on Trichogramma cordubensis

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
In the face of environmental contamination to copper, mainly resulting from frequent copper‐based fungicide applications, it is crucial to understand the side effects of these pesticides on non‐target organisms to improve pest management. Trichogramma cordubensis, used as a biological control agent against grape berry moths in vineyards, shows strongly

Impacts of a Sweet Orange Essential Oil–Based Biopesticide on Exorista larvarum, a Parasitoid Tachinid Fly With a Dual Role

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
Lethal (mortality) and sublethal (fecundity, fertility) effects of the biopesticide Prev‐Am Plus (containing ~6% sweet orange essential oil) were assessed on the tachinid fly Exorista larvarum. Mated females were exposed via contact and oral routes across five concentrations (0.25%–20%) using protocols adapted from Apis mellifera.

Mental Health Disorders in End‐Stage Kidney Disease: A Narrative Review of Clinical Considerations for Integrated Management

open access: yesHemodialysis International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction End stage kidney disease (ESKD) is associated with a high prevalence of depression and anxiety, arising from both biological factors and the psychosocial burden of chronic dialysis care. Approximately 25%–30% of dialysis patients experience clinically significant depressive symptoms when assessed by structured clinical interview ...

A review of skin microbiome and new challenges to cosmetic microbiome‐friendly formulations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Microbiome‐friendly concepts offer new perspectives for a healthy relationship between cosmetic use and the skin microbiome, especially the interaction of non‐biotic cosmetic ingredients with the skin, requiring further studies to clarify the dynamics between the skin microbiome and different classes of cosmetic ingredients.

Molecular basis of antifungal drug resistance in yeasts

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antimicrobial Agents, 2017
International audienceBesides inherent differences in in vitro susceptibilities, clinically-relevant yeast species may acquire re-sistance upon exposure to most antifungal drugs used in the clinic.
