Targeting the liver X receptor with dendrogenin A differentiates tumour cells to secrete immunogenic exosome‐enriched vesicles

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, 2022
Tumour cells are characterized by having lost their differentiation state. They constitutively secrete small extracellular vesicles (sEV) called exosomes when they come from late endosomes.

Cluster of differentiation antigens: essential roles in the identification of teleost fish T lymphocytes

open access: yesMarine Life Science & Technology, 2022
AbstractCluster of differentiation (CD) antigens are cell surface molecules expressed on leukocytes and other cells associated with the immune system. Antibodies that react with CD antigens are known to be one of the most essential tools for identifying leukocyte subpopulations.

Human dendritic cells activated via dectin-1 are efficient at priming Th17, cytotoxic CD8 T and B cell responses.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
BackgroundDendritic cells capture antigens through PRRs and modulate adaptive immune responses. The type of adaptive immune T cell response generated is dependent upon the type of PRR activated by the microbes.

HLA Variation and SARS-CoV-2 Specific Antibody Response

open access: yesViruses, 2023
Differences in SARS-CoV-2-specific immune responses have been observed between individuals following natural infection or vaccination. In addition to already known factors, such as age, sex, COVID-19 severity, comorbidity, vaccination status, hybrid ...

PD-1+CXCR5−CD4+ Th-CXCL13 cell subset drives B cells into tertiary lymphoid structures of nasopharyngeal carcinoma

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, 2021
Background A major current challenge is to exploit tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) to promote the lymphocyte infiltration, activation and differentiation by tumor antigens to increase antitumor immune responses.

Structure and function of T lymphocyte differentiation antigens

open access: yesTrends in Genetics, 1986
Abstract In addition to the T cell reception for antigen, T lymphocytes express a variety of additional T cell-specific surface molecules which are involved in recognition, activation and function. The structure, evolutionary relationship and functions of four of these T cell differentiation antigens are discussed.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Human T lymphocyte differentiation antigens: Effects of blood sample storage on LEU antibody binding [PDF]

open access: yesCytometry, 1983
AbstractCurrent studies of human T lymphocytes and their subsets often use quantitative immunofluorescence analysis with monoclonal antibodies against cell surface antigens. With storage of whole blood or separated mononuclear cells for more than a few hours we have found marked changes in lymphocyte analysis using a fluorescence activated cell sorter (

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
