Acquisition of cytotoxic T lymphocyte-specific carbohydrate differentiation antigens. [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of experimental medicine, 1985
Cytotoxic T cell (CTL)-specific activation antigens, termed CT determinants, have been detected by monoclonal antibodies (mAb) that inhibit CTL function. At the cell surface, the CT antigens are associated with the T200 glycoproteins and two other proteins of Mr 140,000 and 85,000 and are present on a secreted protein, gp155.

ZINC DEFICIENCY INDUCES FAS-MEDIATED APOPTOSIS

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2014
. The aim of the present research was to study the expression of Fas-receptor and differentiation antigens CD3, CD4, CD8, CD16, CD20 on mononuclear cells of peripheral blood in the group of people with asimptomatic Zn-deficiency caused by geochemical ...

Diversification of Antitumour Immunity in a Patient with Metastatic Melanoma Treated with Ipilimumab and an IDO-Silenced Dendritic Cell Vaccine

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, 2016
Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) expression in dendritic cells (DCs) inhibits T-cell activation and promotes T-cell differentiation into regulatory T-cells.

Production of Abzymes in Th, CBA, and C57BL/6 Mice before and after MOG Treatment: Comparing Changes in Cell Differentiation and Proliferation

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2019
Till yet there is no data concerning mechanisms of autoimmune diseases development. Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) prone C57BL/6 (T- and B-lymphocyte response), non-autoimmune CBA, and Th mice with T cell response were immunized with ...

Cluster of differentiation antigens: essential roles in the identification of teleost fish T lymphocytes

open access: yesMarine Life Science & Technology, 2022
AbstractCluster of differentiation (CD) antigens are cell surface molecules expressed on leukocytes and other cells associated with the immune system. Antibodies that react with CD antigens are known to be one of the most essential tools for identifying leukocyte subpopulations.

II. Detection of an antigen on resting T cells down-regulated after activation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
The expression of an antigen on porcine T lymphocytes detected by murine monoclonal antibody (mAb) 8/1 was investigated by functional studies and dual-parameter immunofluorescence.

New insights into Blimp-1 in T lymphocytes: a divergent regulator of cell destiny and effector function

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Science, 2017
B lymphocyte-induced maturation protein-1 (Blimp-1) serves as a master regulator of the development and function of antibody-producing B cells. Given that its function in T lymphocytes has been identified within the past decade, we review recent findings

The synergistic and enhancive effects of IL-6 and M-CSF to expand and differentiate functional dendritic cells from human monocytes under serum-free condition

open access: yesJournal of Biological Engineering, 2023
Background Dendritic cells (DCs) are differentiated from monocytes, and have a strong ability to perform phagocytosis, present antigens and activate T cell immune response.

PDK1 regulation of mTOR and hypoxia-inducible factor 1 integrate metabolism and migration of CD8 T cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
mTORC1 (mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1) controls transcriptional programs that determine CD8 cytolytic T cell (CTL) fate. In some cell systems, mTORC1 couples phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase (PI3K) and Akt to the control of glucose uptake and ...
