A Photothermally Amplified Enzyme–Nitric Oxide Co‐Regulatory System Reprograms Pathological ECM–Fibroblast Crosstalk to Alleviate Hypertrophic Scarring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An enzyme–nitric oxide (NO) co‐regulatory strategy reprograms pathological extracellular matrix (ECM)–fibroblast crosstalk in hypertrophic scars. Enzymatic degradation of pre‐existing ECM relieves aberrant mechanical cues, while NO‐mediated fibroblast phenotypic modulation restrains excessive collagen synthesis.

Ribonucleotides Amplify Mitochondrial DNA‐Driven cGAS–STING Activation via FdUMP‐ribonucleotide Hybrid Particles to Potentiate Chemoimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work develops a metabolic sharing strategy that employs cytidine monophosphate (CMP) to competitively reprogram floxuridine (FUDR) pyrimidine metabolism in colorectal tumor cells. Elevated intracellular FdUMP induces nucleotide imbalance, drives mitochondrial DNA release and cGAS‐STING innate immune cascade activation, and potentiates robust ...

Maternal Dipyrone Exposure and Risk of Major Congenital Malformations, Adverse Perinatal and Postnatal Outcomes: A Population‐Based Cohort Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Pain and fever are common in pregnancy. Dipyrone is widely used in Europe, Latin America, and parts of Asia, but is banned in other countries due to concerns about agranulocytosis. Evidence on its safety in pregnancy remains limited and inconsistent. This study aimed to evaluate whether maternal dipyrone use during the first‐ and third‐trimesters is ...

Syntheses of Antimetabolites [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
In these studies several different types of antimetabolites were synthesized, and their biological effects were examined in various assay systems. More extensive investigations were done in microbial systems in which many of the compounds proved to be ...

Reduced Dose Methotrexate and Mycophenolate Mofetil in Noninfectious Uveitis: A Sub-Analysis from the First-Line Antimetabolites as Steroid Sparing Therapy (FAST) Trial. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
PURPOSE: Some patients taking methotrexate (MTX) or mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) experience intolerable side effects at full doses. We evaluated whether dose reduction affected treatment outcomes in uveitis patients. METHODS: Subanalysis of the First-line
