JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1897 At a meeting held here about a year ago I read a paper entitled "Diphtheria," in which the subject was treated in its entirety and some reference was made to the use of antitoxin serum. The paper which I present tonight deals chiefly with antitoxin and some reference is made to diphtheria as seems to be proper or relevant to the subject.
