The Biological Characteristics and Mouse Model of Lassa Virus From the First Imported Case in China

This is the first case of Lassa fever being introduced to China. A strain of the Lineage IV LASV was successfully isolated, and genomic and mutation analysis were conducted. Infection models were constructed using BALB/c, C57BL/6, and AG129 mice, which were successfully established.

[Laboratory-acquired human infection with SP H 114202 virus (Arenavirus: Arenaviridae family): clinical and laboratory aspects].

Here in is described the clinical and laboratorial findings of a laboratory-acquired infection caused by the virus SP H 114202 (Arenavirus, family Arenaviridae) a recently discovered agent responsible for a viral hemorrhagic fever. The patient was sick for 13 days.

Investigation of Viral, Bacterial and Parasitic Zoonotic Diseases in Rodents in Turkey

Rodents are reservoir hosts for zoonotic pathogens. In this study, the presence of viral lymphocytic choriomeningitis and hantavirus infections, bacterial tularaemia and leptospirosis, and parasitic leishmaniasis and toxoplasmosis were investigated in 498 rodents collected in Erzurum province, Turkey.
