Modulating Calcium Homeostasis via a Biomimetic Scaffold to Rescue Diabetic Ischemic Wounds
This strategy addresses impaired microcirculation and loss of extracellular matrix (ECM) guidance in diabetic wound healing. Musc@CP, a nanofibrous dressing combining an ECM‐mimetic chitosan‐pullulan scaffold with muscone, enhances perfusion by attenuating intracellular Ca2+ overload‐associated endothelial dysfunction.

A schematic model summarizing GNA15's mechanism in mediating macrophage M2 polarization and Gemcitabine resistance. ABSTRACT The complexity of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) progression, coupled with the lack of effective immunotherapy, underscores the imperative to deepen our understanding of its mechanisms and identify suitable immune ...

ESCC‐derived exosomal circAP2B1 promotes tumor progression by reprogramming mitochondrial metabolism via the ESRRA/KPNA1/MFN2 axis to induce M2 polarization of macrophages. ABSTRACT Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remodels the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment via exosome‐mediated intercellular communication.

Arginase promotes skeletal muscle arteriolar endothelial dysfunction in diabetic rats.
Endothelial dysfunction is a characteristic feature in diabetes that contributes to the development of vascular disease. Recently, arginase has been implicated in triggering endothelial dysfunction in diabetic patients and animals by competing with ...

Engineered macrophages programmed in situ by LNP‐delivered IL‐6/4 fusion and LL37 mRNAs simultaneously dampen cytokine storm, promote M2‐like repair, and enhance direct bacterial killing in sepsis. This combinatorial strategy restores T cell and macrophage function, lowers organ bacterial burden, and improves survival, highlighting a precision, host ...

Chemical Bond‐Orchestrated Energy Depletion to Augment Lung Cancer Chemo‐Immunotherapy
This study grafted dichloroacetic acid (DCA) into perylenediimide (PDI) skeleton via ionic or covalent bond to create novel metabolic agent PDIC‐AC and PDIC‐NAC, explicitly elaborated the underlying energy metabolism and therapeutic mechanism, and developed a promising strategy for energy metabolism‐targeting chemo‐immunotherapy by chemical bond ...

EBV‑BZLF1 initiates ODC1‑driven polyamine anabolism that correlates with poor clinical prognosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The ODC1–spermidine axis promotes viral replication, cell proliferation and innate immune evasion. Pharmacological inhibition of ODC1 rescues cisplatin sensitivity, establishing ODC1 as a viable therapeutic target for EBV ...

The role of the host—Neutrophil biology
Abstract Neutrophilic polymorphonuclear leukocytes (neutrophils) are myeloid cells packed with lysosomal granules (hence also called granulocytes) that contain a formidable antimicrobial arsenal. They are terminally differentiated cells that play a critical role in acute and chronic inflammation, as well as in the resolution of inflammation and wound ...
