Screening and Characterization of Thermostable Amylase‐Producing Bacteria Isolated from Soil Samples of Afdera, Afar Region, and Molecular Detection of Amylase‐Coding Gene

open access: yesInternational Journal of Microbiology, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
Studying thermostable amylase‐producing bacteria in extreme environments has a crucial role to overcome different industrial challenges. Afar Region is one of the hottest and salty areas, making it the home of extremophiles. This study aimed at screening and characterizing amylase‐producing bacteria isolated from soil samples of Afdera, Afar Region ...

Cloning, Expression, and Characterization of Xylanase G2 from Aspergillus oryzae VTCC‐F187 in Aspergillus niger VTCC‐F017

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
The study focuses on engineering of recombinant Aspergillus niger to produce highly active xylanase. The xylanase G2 encoding gene originating from Aspergillus oryzae VTCC‐F187 was cloned, amplified, and inserted into the pAN7.1GluA vector with specific primers possessing BamHI. The recombinant plasmid was introduced into Aspergillus niger VTCC‐F017 by

Commodity risk assessment of Ficus carica plants from Israel

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2021., 2021
Abstract The European Commission requested the EFSA Panel on Plant Health to prepare and deliver risk assessments for commodities listed in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2019 as ‘High risk plants, plant products and other objects’. This Scientific Opinion covers the plant health risks posed by the following commodities: i) dormant and ...

A Feed Additive Containing Encapsulated 6-Phytase within Recombinant Yarrowia lipolytica Cells Produced by Cultivation on Fat-Containing Waste

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Feed phytases are purchased as a dry culture medium of secreting producers, mostly micellar fungi. These preparations are required to withstand heating up to 75–80 °C because they are intended for mixing with feed components with subsequent granulation ...

Encapsulated Phytase Produced by Recombinant Yarrowia lipolytica Exhibits High Efficiency on Broiler Chickens in Low Dosage

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Phytases are the largest group of feed enzymes increasing the accessibility of organic phosphorus for the animals. Feed phytases are usually sold as dried powder of secreting producers, mainly micellar fungi.

Molecular and kinetic properties of Aspergillus ficuum inulinases.

open access: yesAgricultural and Biological Chemistry, 1990
The beta-fructosidases from the thermotolerant fungus, A. ficuum, were characterized. All were active as to inulin and sucrose hydrolysis with different specificity constants (kcat/Km). The enzymes were classified according to the ratio (alpha) of the specificity constants for inulin (I) and sucrose (S).

Hydrolysis of precipitated phytate by three distinct families of phytases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
While genetically modified plants that secrete histidine acid phosphatases (HAPs), β-propeller phytases (BPPs) and purple acid phosphatases (PAPs) have been shown to assimilate soluble phytate, little is known about whether these plants have the ability ...
