NOREPINEPHRINE-MEDIATED ASTROCYTE CALCIUM SIGNALING IN FREELY MOVING MICE
Astrocytes are glial cells of the central nervous system (CNS) that play a critical role in maintaining structure and support. While not electrically excitable, astrocytes can signal through dynamic changes in intracellular calcium concentrations which ...

Frontal lobe traumatic brain injury is associated with hyperactivity of an insular–orbitofrontal circuit in both patients and mice. By combination of integrating functional imaging, cell‐type–specific circuit manipulation, single‐cell transcriptomics, and whole‐cell recordings, this work identifies the downregulation of the potassium channel KCNC3 in ...

ICOS‐immunoPET noninvasively visualizes activated T cells in melanoma brain metastases following combined anti‐PD‐1/anti‐CTLA‐4 therapy. Clinical translation of this imaging approach may improve patient stratification and treatment monitoring and serve as a quantitative imaging endpoint to support immunotherapy development and clinical trials in brain ...

Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.

FES‐derived MGE spheroids exhibit progenitor‐stage alterations in developmental trajectory and hypoxia‐responsive transcriptional programs, followed by functional disruption. Gestational hypoxia recapitulates impaired progenitor proliferation, shortened cell‐cycle progression, interneuron developmental abnormalities, and schizophrenia‐like behaviors in

Calcium Dynamics in Astrocyte-Neuron Communication from Intracellular to Extracellular Signaling
Astrocytic calcium signaling is a central mechanism of neuron-glia communication that operates across multiple spatial and temporal scales. Traditionally, research has focused on intracellular Ca2+ oscillations that regulate gliotransmitter release, ion ...

Endothelial miR‐15a/16‐1 deletion promotes long‐term recovery after traumatic brain injury by restoring SYNE1 expression. Enhanced endothelial SYNE1 preserves vascular integrity, protects white and gray matter, and improves neurological function. The endothelial miR‐15a/16‐1–SYNE1 axis emerges as a key regulator of neurovascular repair and a potential ...

Neuromorphic Devices and Computing for Sensing, Memory, and Control
This review introduces neuromorphic devices made from diverse materials. These devices mimic neuronal functions and architectures and, when integrated with artificial or biological computing, can form closed loops with neurons for pressure, optical, acoustic, and biochemical sensing and modulation.
