AbstractB16F10 murine melanoma cell proliferation was inhibited after 48h in medium with serum in the range 0.1 to 0.5% by volume. Cell viability was mostly retained, whereas cells completely deprived of serum died. Growth‐arrested cultures showed serum‐dependent suppression of DNA synthesis.
