Manganese‐Catalyzed Enantioselective Dearomative Epoxidation of Naphthalenes with Aqueous Hydrogen Peroxide

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The enantioselective epoxidation of naphthalenes into their corresponding arene oxides with aqueous hydrogen peroxide is described. The reaction combines dearomatization with installation of chemically versatile functionality in an enantioselective manner.

Liquid Coordination Polymers with Anhydrous Proton Conductivity

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Functional liquid coordination polymers near ambient conditions are prepared by introducing H3PO4 as a network modifier. This process disrupts extended coordination networks, producing a stable liquid. Liquid properties are controlled by tuning the ratio of network modifiers, resulting in anhydrous proton conductivity up to 27 mS cm−1 at 353 K and ...

In vitro susceptibility of nematophagous fungi to antiparasitic drugs: interactions and implications for biological control

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
The fast anthelmintic resistance development has shown a limited efficiency in the control of animal’s endoparasitosis and has promoted research using alternative control methods. The use of chemicals in animal anthelmintic treatment, in association with

Assembling Hexahedral Supramolecular Nano‐Aggregates on Rice Wax Layer Matrices to Promote the Leaf Deposition and Bioavailability of Bactericides for Plant Protections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To address the problem of off‐target movement and low bioavailability of pesticides, two anisotropic supramolecular building units (BiTA18@β‐CD and BiTA18@γ‐CD) have been invented that can self‐assemble into nano‐sized hexagonal cuboids on the rice microcrystalline matrix. This manipulation realizes the enhanced utilization of bactericides for rice and

Supramolecular Recognition of a DNA Four‐Way Junction by an M2L4 Metallo‐Cage, Inspired by a Simulation‐Guided Design Approach

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
DNA Holliday junctions, or four‐way junctions (4WJs) are an attractive therapeutic target due to their prevalence in DNA replication and repair, and viral disease. Combining experimental and computational methods, we show that quadruple‐stranded dinuclear platinum metallo‐cages are an excellent size and shape match for the cavity of the 4WJ open ...

Synthesis and biological evaluation of 5-substituted derivatives of benzimidazole [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2014
Series of eight novel 5-substituted derivatives of benzimidazole were synthesized by condensation of corresponding diamine with ethyl-4-[4-(2-chlorophenyl)piperazin-1-yl] butanoate in refluxing 4N hydrochloric acid.

Bandgap‐Dependent Doping of Semiconducting Carbon Nanotube Networks by Proton‐Coupled Electron Transfer for Stable Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Proton‐coupled electron transfer doping with benzoquinone is applied to p‐dope dense films of semiconducting single‐walled carbon nanotubes. The doping efficiency depends on the pH of the doping solution and the bandgap of the nanotubes. The highest conductivities and power factors are achieved for small‐bandgap nanotubes, remaining stable for over 120

A single adulticide dose of albendazole induces cytochromes P4501A in mouflon (Ovis musimon) with dicrocoeliosis

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2007
Contact handling with wild or semi-domesticated animals requires limiting animal stress to minimum. In this respect, single administration of drug should be preferred in contact therapy of mouflon (Ovis musimon) infected by lancet fluke (Dicrocoelium ...

Deep Blue Fluorescent OLEDs Based on a Solution and Solid‐State Emitter (SSSE): Investigations with 2‐Phenyl‐Naphthoxazole

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The blue fluorescent molecule 2‐phenyl‐naphth[2,3‐d]oxazole (Nzx) exhibits strong emission in both solution and solid states. Such behavior, referred to as solution and solid‐state emission (SSSE), makes Nzx a promising candidate for optoelectronic applications. This study highlights the potential of Nzx for the development of stable and efficient near
