Silent Partners in the Mill: Unveiling the Role of Additives in Mechanochemical Synthesis
Mechanochemistry offers a sustainable, solvent‐free alternative to traditional synthesis, often enhanced by additives in a process known as additive‐assisted grinding. This review discusses how various additives, including liquids, ionic solids, and advanced materials like ionic liquids and piezoelectric compounds, improve reaction efficiency ...

Chemotherapy for the treatment of alveolar echinococcosis: Where are we?
Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is a severe liver disease due to infection with the Echinococcus multilocularis larval stage, called the metacestode. Management of AE is based on benzimidazole chemotherapy (albendazole or mebendazole), associated with ...

Investigating the Ligand‐Binding Properties of N‐arylbenzimidazoles as Novel Elastase Inhibitors
A series of novel N‐[(3,5‐dimethylphenyl)methyl]‐1H‐benzimidazole derivatives is designed, synthesized, and evaluated for inhibitory activity against elastase. Several compounds demonstrate an antielastase activity, including the N‐(2‐bromophenyl)‐2‐(6‐chloro‐1‐(3,5‐dimethylbenzyl)‐1H‐benzo[d]imidazol‐2‐ylthio)acetamide, showing the greatest potency ...

Guanidinium‐ and indole‐functionalized poly(glycidyl ether)s were developed as non‐viral gene delivery vectors with tunable hydrophilic–hydrophobic balance. All polymers formed stable DNA polyplexes, while moderate indole content yielded the highest transfection efficiency at low N/P ratios.

For three collections of Irish Pyrenopeziza brassicae populations fungicide sensitivity status to methyl benzimidazole carbamate (MBC), quinone outside inhibitor (QoI) and succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) fungicides was determined using sensitivity screening in vitro. Molecular mechanisms of insensitivity have been identified for MBC and QoI in

Prevalence of anthelmintic resistance of gastrointestinal nematodes in Lithuanian sheep farms
The rapid emergence of anthelmintic resistance (AR) among gastrointestinal nematodes (GIN) in Europe, particularly to benzimidazoles (BZ), levamisole (LEV), and macrocyclic lactones (ML), presents a growing challenge to sheep farming. This study aimed to
