Right-sided native-valve infective endocarditis caused by : A case report
Streptococcus acidominimus is rarely pathogenic in humans. In the literature, there are only few cases related to S. acidominimus , including pneumonia, meningitis, brain abscess, pericarditis, sepsis, and endocarditis.

Since the discovery 11 of the activating effect of the N- (p-Nitro-phenyl)-group on the methine hydrogen of halogenacetamino esters, it has been found that the p-Acetyl-phenyl and m-Nitro-phenyl groups exert a similar effect. It has been shown that the delocalisation of the N-non-bonded electrons across the orbitals of the N-Aryl substituent is the ...

Fast‐acting hydrogel seals bleeding wounds as the illustrated injectable, pH‐responsive network rapidly gels in situ to stop hemorrhage, adhere strongly to wet tissue, and release antibiotics in a controlled, pH‐dependent manner. The material withstands high pressures, shows excellent biocompatibility, and degrades safely, offering a versatile platform

Evaluation and characterization of 125 patients with a history of reaction to beta-lactams
Background: Reactions to beta-lactams are frequent and it is difficult to establish the relationship between the drug and symptoms. Objective: To describe the clinical characteristics and explore the immunological mechanisms of patients with suspected ...

An iron‐based nanozyme selectively eliminates intratumoral P. anaerobius while catalytically generating ROS to induce ferroptosis, synergistically suppressing colorectal cancer growth and activating anti‐tumor immunity through immunogenic cell death. ABSTRACT The intratumoral microbiota is a critical determinant of therapeutic outcomes in colorectal ...

To address multidrug‐resistant urinary tract infections (MDR‐UTIs), we developed Cu‐ZIF8‐Ru nanozyme featuring an asymmetric Cu─N─Ru catalytic site. This unique structure enhances multienzyme‐mimetic activity, eradicating resistant bacteria by inducing a cuproptosis‐like death pathway through intracellular Cu2+ accumulation and energy depletion.

We have developed a Pd‐catalyzed oxidative cyclopropanation of 1,n‐enynes employing cyclic diacyl peroxides as bifunctional reagents that serve as both tether‐tunable oxidants and spatially controlled dicarboxylate anions. ABSTRACT Bicyclo[n.1.0]alkanes are highly valuable scaffolds in drug discovery and synthetic chemistry.

Investigations On The Resistance Of Porcine Commensal E. Coli Isolates To Beta Lactams
The aim of this study was to describe the prevalence of antibiotic resistance to beta-lactams and to evaluate two resistance genes blaTEM and blaOXA-1 in Escherichia coli isolates from faeces on six swine farms in the Republic of Bulgaria. A total of 186

How beta-lactam antibiotics enter bacteria: a dialogue with the porins. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Multi-drug resistant (MDR) infections have become a major concern in hospitals worldwide. This study investigates membrane translocation, which is the first step required for drug action on internal bacterial targets.
