Interface‐Mediated Catalysis for Improved Hydrogen Storage in Reactive Hydride Composites
Catalyst–hydride interfaces are engineered in Co@C‐ and Ni@C‐modified 2LiH + MgB2 reactive hydride composites to accelerate hydrogen uptake and release. Multiscale scattering, in‐situ synchrotron radiation powder x‐ray diffraction and density functional theory calculations reveal the structural and electronic origin of the catalytic enhancement ...

Fabrication of Composite Cathode for All‐Solid‐State Sodium Batteries
The design of composite cathodes for all‐solid‐state sodium batteries must address three critical challenges—interfacial side reactions, interfacial delamination, and highly tortuous transport pathways. This work outlines structural and interfacial strategies to optimize ion transport and mechanical stability, enabling durable, and high‐performance ...

Crystal structures and properties of solvent-free LiYb(BH4)4−xClx, Yb(BH4)3 and Yb(BH4)2−xClx
Metal borohydrides offer high theoretical storage capacity for solid state hydrogen storage. This work is aimed at the mechanochemical synthesis of Yb(BH4)3 from LiBH4 and YbCl3. Different synthesis routes resulted in three new compounds, LiYb(BH4)4−xClx, α-Yb(BH4)3 and β-Yb(BH4)3.

Fluorine‐containing electrolytes dominate modern rechargeable batteries, yet the fundamental design principles for fluorine‐free systems remain largely unexplored. We demonstrate that fluorine‐free electrolyte chemistry can simultaneously achieve long cycle life, fast charging, and stable interphase formation in sodium‐ion batteries.

Incidence of BH4-responsiveness in phenylalanine-hydroxylase-deficient Italian patients
BACKGROUND: Hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA) is an inherited metabolic disorder due to deficiency of the enzyme phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH) or its cofactor tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4).

Molecular genetics of PKU in Poland and potential impact of mutations on BH4 responsiveness [PDF]
Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) has been recently approved as a treatment of patients with phenylketonuria. However, as a confirmation of BH4-responsiveness, it might require a very expensive trial treatment with BH4 or prolonged BH4-loading procedures.
