PGK1 Suppresses CD8+ T Cell‐Mediated Antitumor Immunity Through CCL2/CCR2/Tumor‐Associated Macrophages Axis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PGK1 in tumor cells upregulates CCL2 expression through activation of the AKT/GSK‐3β/β‐catenin signaling axis, thereby promoting the recruitment and M2 polarization of TAMs and ultimately impairing the infiltration and activation of CD8+ T cells within the HCC tumor microenvironment. ABSTRACT Patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have a

Towards a Total Chemical Synthesis of Human C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Chemokines are cell signalling proteins that promote cellular migration. C-C motif chemokine ligand 2 (CCL2) plays an important role in the inflammatory response, and is involved in the pathogenesis of diseases such as asthma, atherosclerosis and cancer.

Synergistic Remodeling of Tumor Immune Microenvironment via a DNA Nanodevice Integrating STING Activation and Lysosome‐Targeted PD‐L1 Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rational design DNA nanoplatform not only achieves efficient PD‐L1 degradation but also triggers robust STING signaling. The nanodevice effectively reprograms “cold” tumors, leading to potent inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis in vivo. ABSTRACT The cGAS‐STING pathway is a cornerstone of innate antitumor immunity; however, its therapeutic ...

Icaritin Improves the Hematopoiesis-Supportive Function of MSCs via A PRDX1–MAPK Axis After Chemotherapy

open access: yesEngineering
The alleviation of chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression is an integral part of sustained and effective cancer therapy. Although the role of the hematopoietic microenvironment in the regulation of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs) has been ...

PDIA6–SCD1 Axis Rewires Lipid Metabolism to Drive Gastric Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein disulfide isomerase A6 (PDIA6) is identified as an oncogenic driver in gastric cancer. PDIA6 directly binds and stabilizes SCD1 by limiting its ubiquitin–proteasome‐mediated degradation, thereby sustaining monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA)‐enriched lipid homeostasis and lipid metabolic reprogramming.

ProSiteHunter: A Unified Framework for Sequence‐Based Prediction of Protein‐Nucleic Acid and Protein‐Protein Binding Sites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposed a unified sequence‐based framework for protein binding site prediction, which adopted a tri‐track semantic multi‐source feature fusion strategy to effectively capture diverse macromolecular interaction sites and further improved the accuracy of antibody‐antigen interaction prediction.

A2 astrocyte polarization mediates ketogenic diet protection of blood–central nervous system barriers in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis

open access: yesNeural Regeneration Research
Disruption of the blood–brain barrier and blood-spinal cord barrier is a fundamental pathological feature of multiple sclerosis progression. The ketogenic diet has a high therapeutic potential for patients with multiple sclerosis.
