Prospect Of CAR-NK Cell In Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesHighlights in Science, Engineering and Technology, 2023
The innate immune system has gained significant interest expected to the impressive natural killer (NK) cells ability to surveil and combat pathogens, regardless of major histocompatibility complex. Following the resounding success of CAR-T cell therapy, there has been a burgeoning interest in harnessing the NK therapeutics potential in recent years ...

Engineered Mesenchymal Stem Cell–NK Cell Complexes for Spatially Targeted and Functionally Revitalized Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IL‐15‐engineered stem cell–NK cell complexes, assembled via bioorthogonal chemistry, enable effective lung cancer immunotherapy. Abstract Natural killer (NK) cells represent a powerful immunotherapeutic strategy due to their intrinsic cytotoxicity and ability to target tumor cells independently of antigen presentation.

Tumor-associated and immunochemotherapy-dependent long-term alterations of the peripheral blood NK cell compartment in DLBCL patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Natural Killer (NK) cells are a key component of tumor immunosurveillance and thus play an important role in rituximab-dependent killing of lymphoma cells via an antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) mechanism.

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

BGN/MDK Axis in the Melanoma Tumor Microenvironment Strengthens Tumor Malignancy by Modulating Cancer Cells and Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that m6A regulators cooperatively upregulate BGN in melanoma, promoting malignancy. Within the tumor microenvironment, CAFs show highest BGN expression. The BGN/MDK axis mediates cancer‐stroma crosstalk, driving normal fibroblast (NF) activation and enhancing the pro‐tumor effect of CAFs, highlighting a promising therapeutic target ...

Targeting CD5 chimeric antigen receptor-engineered natural killer cells against T-cell malignancies

open access: yesExperimental Hematology & Oncology
Background Chimeric antigen receptor engineered T cells (CAR-T) have demonstrated promising clinical efficacy in B-cell malignancies, and the approach has been extended to T-cell malignancies. However, the use of allogeneic T cells in CAR therapy poses a

Construction of anti-HER2 affibody-directed CAR-NK and its synergistic effects with doxorubicin-loaded nanodrug against HER2-positive breast cancer

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionChimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered T or natural killer (NK) cells are a promising approach for cancer immunotherapy. The leading region of the CAR structure is generally a single-chain antibody (scFv) fragment specific for a tumor ...
