Portable Raman Spectroscopy for Non‐Invasive Chemotype Identification and pCB Profiling in Cannabis

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
In vivo Raman spectroscopy of cannabis leaves using a handheld device enables rapid chemotype differentiation. Excitation at 830 nm reduces fluorescence background and allows clear spectral acquisition. Partial least squares discriminant analysis achieved 90% classification accuracy, validated on a blind test dataset.

Bee products as alternatives in the treatment of viral infections

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract Medicines used in the treatment of viral infections usually reduce symptoms. There is a need to develop drugs that inhibit the viruses and do not merely relieve the symptoms. Natural bee products possess many pharmacological properties and are widely used in folk medicine. There are many studies on the antibacterial effects of bee products but

Selenium biofortification: integrating one health and sustainability

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract Selenium (Se) biofortification in crops has emerged as a promising strategy to address global Se deficiencies and enhance both agricultural productivity and human health. Increasing the Se content of crops through biofortification improves their resilience to abiotic and biotic stresses and boosts their nutritional value.
