Structure and energy gap of Cd1-xCaxTe and Cd1-yCaySe as a function of Ca2+ incorporation

open access: yes, 2005
Single crystals of Cd1-xCaxTe and Cd1-yCaySe ternaries, grown by the Bridgman technique and characterized by microprobe and x-ray techniques, showed the upper limit of x and y to be 0.05. The excitonic energy gap, determined from the derivative signature

A Comparative Numerical Modeling of High‐Efficient CBTS Solar Cell Using SCAPS‐1D

open access: yesNano Select, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
The highest efficiency achieved is 18.42%, 21.51%, and 21.6% for optimized CBTS/CdS/FTO, CBTS/SnS2/FTO, and CBTS/Cd0.1Zn0.9S/FTO solar cell, respectively. The results prove that low‐toxic Cd0.1Zn0.9S buffer layer provides best performance among all three buffer layers and SnS2 buffer layer also shows promising results.

Gold Nanoparticle–Trastuzumab Conjugates for HER2‐Positive Breast Cancer Treatment: Developments in Radionuclide Therapy, Multimodal Imaging, and Combination Strategies

open access: yesNano Select, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This work comprehensively examines recent advances in the treatment of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)‐positive breast cancer using trastuzumab‐conjugated gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). By analyzing several pivotal studies, it explores how these nanoplatforms enhance therapeutic specificity and efficacy while minimizing systemic ...

Migrasomes, Matrix‐Bound Nanovesicles, and More: Messengers in the Matrix

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, Volume 26, Issue 6, Page 9-21, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) and particles (EPs) are diverse micro‐ and nanoparticles that circulate in bodily fluids and can attach to, or be deposited onto, the extracellular matrix (ECM) and other surfaces. To date, the nomenclature and classification of matrix‐bound or matrix‐associated EVs and EPs (MEVPs) have been unclear, largely due to

Intrinsic conformational equilibria position arrestin‐2 for activation

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Arrestins regulate G protein‐coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling by undergoing large‐scale conformational rearrangements, yet the solution‐state equilibria that underlie arrestin pre‐activation remain poorly defined. While prior studies identified slow conformational exchange at the interdomain interface, these minor states could not be ...

Fentanyl Compromises Lower‐Airway Mechanics and Naloxone Triggers a Transient Mechanical Overshoot

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 242, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Opioid‐induced respiratory depression (OIRD) is the leading cause of death following opioid overdose, due to its effects on central rhythm generation, and airway and thoracic constriction. While the effects on rhythm generation have been well documented, the effects of fentanyl on airway constriction are less well understood. We tested the

Next‐Generation Strategies for Neural Repair and Regeneration: Neural Organoid Transplantation in the CNS

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 6, June 2026.
Neurological disorders are hard to treat. Stem cell‐derived neural organoids enable research, and their transplantation aids CNS therapy, with this article reviewing relevant advances, challenges and prospects. ABSTRACT Neurological disorders are often devastating and notoriously difficult to repair, creating an urgent need for novel research models ...
