CD34+CD38– HSC have higher ALDH activity than co-existing CD34+CD38– LSC.

open access: yes, 2013
(A–C) CD34+CD38– HSC within normal bone marrow are ALDHbright and the level of ALDH activity decreases upon differentiation to CD38+ progenitors. Representative flow cytometric ALDH activity patterns (ALDH versus SSC) are shown for (A) total CD45dim ...

DinoFlow: Self‐supervised pretraining in flow cytometry enables accurate detection of common hematopathological disorders

open access: yesCytometry Part B: Clinical Cytometry, EarlyView.
Abstract Flow cytometry is an essential component of routine hematological lab testing. Many computational methods have been proposed for the analysis of flow cytometry data, but most have focused on supervised learning for just one or a few specific disorders.

Prognostic value of immunohistochemical expression of ZAP-70 and CD38 in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia detected on bone marrow and lymph node biopsies / Valoarea prognostică a expresiei imunohistochimice a ZAP-70 si CD38 în leucemia limfocitară cronică detectată pe biopsii osteomedulare și limfoganglionare

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Laboratory Medicine, 2014
Leucemia limfocitară cronică (LLC) are o evoluție clinică heterogenă. Printre markerii utili în identificarea pacienților cu prognostic nefavorabil se numără statusul nemutat al IgVH, expresia ZAP-70 și expresia CD38.

Targeting CD38 in Neoplasms and Non-Cancer Diseases

open access: yes, 2022
CD38 is a myeloid antigen present both on the cell membrane and in the intracellular compartment of the cell. Its occurrence is often enhanced in cancer cells, thus making it a potential target in anticancer therapy.

[CD38 and autism spectrum disorders].

open access: yesNo to hattatsu = Brain and development, 2013
We have demonstrated that CD38, a transmembrane protein with ADP-ribosyl cyclase activity, plays a critical role in mouse social behavior by regulating the release of oxytocin (OXT), which is essential for mutual recognition. When CD38 was disrupted, social amnesia was observed in Cd38 knockout mice.

Immunophenotypic characteristics of plasma cells in POEMS syndrome

open access: yesCytometry Part B: Clinical Cytometry, EarlyView.
Abstract To analyze the immunophenotypic characteristics of plasma cells in patients with polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, myeloma protein, and skin changes (POEMS) syndrome. This retrospective study included patients with POEMS syndrome hospitalized in the Department of Hematology, Huashan Hospital, from September 2017 to August 2025 ...

Vitamin D receptor expression in germinal centre type diffuse large B-cell lymphoma cells is associated with vitamin D insensitivity

open access: yesEndocrine Oncology
Objective: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a heterogeneous group of non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) often sub-classified into major germinal centre (GC) and activated B-cell (ABC) cell-of-origin types.
