Raptor is phosphorylated by cdc2 during mitosis. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
The appropriate control of mitotic entry and exit is reliant on a series of interlocking signaling events that coordinately drive the biological processes required for accurate cell division.

STAT3 signaling modulates the immune response induced after antigen targeting to conventional type 1 dendritic cells through the DEC205 receptor

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
Conventional dendritic cells (cDC) are a group of antigen-presenting cells specialized in priming T cell responses. In mice, splenic cDC are divided into conventional type 1 DC (cDC1) and conventional type 2 (cDC2).

Communication between Cyclin-dependent kinase Cdc2 and the Wis1-Spc1 MAPK pathway determines mitotic timing in Schizosaccharomyces pombe

open access: yesBiology Open, 2020
Checkpoint activation and gene expression modulation represent key determinants of cellular survival in adverse conditions. The former is regulated by cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) while the latter can be controlled by mitogen-activated protein kinases

Role of cyclin B1/Cdc2 up-regulation in the development of mitotic prometaphase arrest in human breast cancer cells treated with nocodazole. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
During a normal cell cycle, the transition from G₂ phase to mitotic phase is triggered by the activation of the cyclin B1-dependent Cdc2 kinase. Here we report our finding that treatment of MCF-7 human breast cancer cells with nocodazole, a prototypic ...

Human p53 is phosphorylated by p60-cdc2 and cyclin B-cdc2. [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1990
The human anti-oncoprotein p53 is shown to be a substrate of cdc2. The primary site of phosphorylation is serine-315. Serine-315 is phosphorylated by both p60-cdc2 and cyclin B-cdc2 enzymes. The phosphorylation of p53 is cell cycle-dependent. The abundance of p53 also oscillates during the cell cycle.

Phosphatase PTPN22 Regulates Dendritic Cell Homeostasis and cDC2 Dependent T Cell Responses

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
Dendritic cells (DCs) are specialized antigen presenting cells that instruct T cell responses through sensing environmental and inflammatory danger signals.

Saponin-based adjuvants enhance antigen cross-presentation in human CD11c+ CD1c+ CD5− CD163+ conventional type 2 dendritic cells

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, 2023
Background Adjuvants are key for effective vaccination against cancer and chronic infectious diseases. Saponin-based adjuvants (SBAs) are unique among adjuvants in their ability to induce robust cell-mediated immune responses in addition to antibody ...

TIM-3 increases the abundance of type-2 dendritic cells during Leishmania donovani infection by enhancing IL-10 production via STAT3

open access: yesCell Death and Disease, 2023
The outcome of the disease visceral leishmaniasis (VL), caused by Leishmania donovani (LD), largely relies on the relative dominance of host-protective type-1 T helper (Th1) cell response versus disease-promoting type-2 T helper (Th2) cell response.

Interaction of Type 1 Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus With In Vitro Derived Conventional Dendritic Cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2021
The present study delineates the interaction of a typical PRRSV1.1 isolate 3267 (moderate virulence) with in vitro derived pig conventional dendritic cells, cDC1, cDC2, and a CD14+ population (designated as CD14+ DCs).

Thr-161 Phosphorylation of Monomeric Cdc2 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 2002
Fully grown Xenopus oocyte is arrested at prophase I of meiosis. Re-entry into meiosis depends on the activation of MPF (M-phase promoting factor or cyclin B·Cdc2 complex), triggered by progesterone. The prophase-arrested oocyte contains a store of Cdc2.
