MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...

Comparative scanning electron microscopy of bullous diseases [PDF]

open access: yesAnais Brasileiros de Dermatologia, 2014
The purpose of this study is to compare scanning electron microscopy findings of the blister roof in three distinct bullous diseases: one intraepidermal acantholytic (pemphigus foliaceus); one due to hemidesmosomal dysfunction (bullous pemphigoid); and ...

Epidermolysis bullosa acquisita following skin graft in donor and graft sites: A case report

open access: yesBurns Open, 2023
Epidermolysis bullosa acquisita is a rare mucocutaneous autoimmune blistering disorder which usually presents in adulthood. The disease is mediated by antibodies against type VII collagen, though the precise inciting factors for autoantibody formation ...

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Coaxially Electrospun Myocardial dECM‐ Based Nanofibrous Scaffolds Demonstrate Enhanced Cardiomyocyte Biocompatibility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.

Ultraviolet A Irradiation Upregulates Type VII Collagen Expression in Human Dermal Fibroblasts.

open access: yes, 1997
Type VII collagen, a major component of skin-anchoring fibrils, is synthesized by both fibroblasts and keratinocytes, the two principal cell types in the skin. In this study, we examined the effects of ultraviolet A (UVA) irradiation on the expression of

Deletion of a Pathogenic Mutation-Containing Exon of COL7A1 Allows Clonal Gene Editing Correction of RDEB Patient Epidermal Stem Cells

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Nucleic Acids, 2018
Recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa is a severe skin fragility disease caused by loss of functional type VII collagen at the dermal-epidermal junction. A frameshift mutation in exon 80 of COL7A1 gene, c.6527insC, is highly prevalent in the Spanish
