COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Therapeutic Suppression of miR-4261 Attenuates Colorectal Cancer by Targeting MCC

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Nucleic Acids, 2017
The mutated in colorectal cancer (MCC) gene is an important colorectal tumor suppressor gene, although few studies have reported the microRNA(s) that could directly target MCC in colorectal cancer.

Anticancer sensitivities and biological characteristics of HCT116 cells resistant to the selective poly(ADP‐ribose) glycohydrolase inhibitor

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed alterations of PAR metabolism‐related proteins in PARG inhibitor‐resistant HCT116RPDD cells. Although PARG levels remained unchanged, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited reduced PARP1 and ARH3 expression and elevated PAR levels. Interestingly, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited slightly elevated intracellular NAD+/NADH and ATP levels. Our findings suggest a

Suppression subtractive hybridization identified differentially expressed genes in colorectal cancer: microRNA-451a as a novel colorectal cancer–related gene

open access: yesTumor Biology, 2017
To investigate differentially expressed genes regulated by microRNA-451a in colorectal cancer. We detected expression of microRNA-451a in colorectal cancer samples and normal pericarcinous tissues from 68 colorectal cancer patients and the correlation ...

RNA‐Micelles as Self‐Assembling Structures for Efficient Co‐Delivery of Synergistic siRNA and Nucleoside Analogues to Treat CRC Lung Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two kinds of self‐assembled RNA micelles were used to co‐deliver synergistic siRNA and nucleoside analogues for the treatment of colorectal cancer lung metastases. Near‐complete elimination of lung cancer metastases was confirmed in an orthotopic lung metastasis model constructed using human colorectal cancer lung metastases patient surgical samples to

Design and Synthesis of a Novel 4-aryl-N-(2-alkoxythieno [2,3-b]pyrazine-3-yl)-4-arylpiperazine-1-carboxamide DGG200064 Showed Therapeutic Effect on Colon Cancer through G2/M Arrest

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2022
Cancer cells are characterized by an abnormal cell cycle. Therefore, the cell cycle has been a potential target for cancer therapeutic agents. We developed a new lead compound, DGG200064 (7c) with a 2-alkoxythieno [2,3-b]pyrazine-3-yl)-4-arylpiperazine-1-

Femtosecond‐Laser‐Fabricated 3D CYTOP Microfluidic Chips Enabling Super‐Resolution Live Imaging of Cell Behavior in Confined Microspaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Using two‐photon polymerization of SU‐8 together with mold processing allowed the creation of defect‐free, flexible 3D microfluidic structures with sub‐micrometer precision in CYTOP. The fabricated CYTOP microfluidic chips enabled super‐resolution imaging of cancer cells in the microchannels, clearly visualizing previously undetectable fine structural ...
