Ammonia Detoxification Inhibits Liver Metastasis by Reshaping Hepatic Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liver metastasis diverts aspartate into hyperactive pyrimidine synthesis, disrupting urea cycling and causing pathogenic ammonia accumulation. Ammonia dually reprograms the microenvironment by: (1) activating hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) into pro‐fibrotic metastasis‐associated fibroblasts (MAFs), and (2) suppressing anti‐tumor monocytes/macrophages ...

Nanomedicine Meets Immunotherapy: Advancing Adoptive Cell Therapy with Nanoparticles in the Treatment of Cancer with Sustainability Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

Molecular network-based identification of competing endogenous RNAs in bladder cancer

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2019
Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been shown to interact with microRNAs (miRNA) as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) to regulate target gene expression and participate in tumorigenesis. However, the role of circRNA-mediated ceRNAs in bladder cancer (BC) remains unknown.

GHRHR Deficiency Enhances Retinal Ganglion Cell Survival and Visual Functions in Experimental Glaucoma by Inhibiting Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

Systematic Characterization of Circular RNA-Associated CeRNA Network Identified Novel circRNA Biomarkers in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2019
Alzheimer's disease (AD), a degenerative disease of the central nervous system, is the most common form of dementia in old age. The complexity and behavior of circular RNA (circRNA)-associated competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network remained poorly ...

Introgressed Variation in TaMYB7‐A1 Drives Graded Dormancy and Climate‐Adaptive Pre‐Harvest Sprouting Resistance in Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...

Endogenous Engineering Reprograms Extracellular Vesicles for Enhanced Therapeutic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review explains how Extracellular vesicles‐producing cells can be endogenously engineered to load therapeutic proteins and nucleic acids. We summarize physiological and genetic strategies that harness native sorting pathways for selective cargo loading.

Construction and Investigation of a lncRNA-Associated ceRNA Regulatory Network in Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2019
Background/Aims: As a type of malignant tumor commonly found in the bile duct, cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) has a poor prognosis. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) has recently drawn increasing attention because it functions as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA ...

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

Competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) regulation network of lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs in Wilms tumour

open access: yesBMC Medical Genomics, 2019
Background Competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) have revealed a new mechanism of interaction between RNAs. However, an understanding of the ceRNA regulatory network in Wilms tumour (WT) remains limited.
