Predicting functional circular RNA-based competitive endogenous RNA network in gastric carcinoma using novel bioinformatics analysis

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 2021
Gastric cancer (GC) remains one of the most prevalent types of malignancies worldwide, and also one of the most reported lethal tumor-related diseases. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been certified to be trapped in multiple aspects of GC pathogenesis. Yet, the mechanism of this regulation is mostly undefined.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

FHL2 regulates hematopoietic stem cell functions under stress conditions. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
FHL2, a member of the four and one half LIM domain protein family, is a critical transcriptional modulator. Here, we identify FHL2 as a critical regulator of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) that is essential for maintaining HSC self-renewal under ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Comprehensive analysis of competitive endogenous RNA associated with immune infiltration in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
To identify the prognostic biomarker of the competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) and explore the tumor infiltrating immune cells (TIICs) which might be the potential prognostic factors in lung adenocarcinoma.

Comprehensive Analysis of Differentially Expressed lncRNAs miRNAs and mRNA and Their ceRNA Network of Patients With Rare-Earth Pneumoconiosis

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2021
Rare-earth pneumoconiosis (REP) is the main occupational disease of rare earth exposed workers and there is no specific treatment. In this study, we performed high-throughput sequencing on the plasma of nine REP to describe and analyze the expression ...

A direct physical interaction between Nanog and Sox2 regulates embryonic stem cell self-renewal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Embryonic stem (ES) cell self-renewal efficiency is determined by the Nanog protein level. However, the protein partners of Nanog that function to direct self-renewal are unclear.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Target RNAs strike back on MicroRNAs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
MicroRNAs are extensively studied regulatory non-coding small RNAs that silence animal genes throughout most biological processes, typically doing so by binding to partially complementary sequences within target RNAs.

Comprehensive Analysis of Competitive Endogenous Rnas Network Associated With Hepatocellular Carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Abstract Background: Increasing evidences show that long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) plays the role of competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) in the development and progression of cancers. The purpose of our study was to identify potential lncRNA biomarkers that serve as a therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker in HCC.Methods: The differential ...
