Crude corn oil as dietary fat source for dogs
Animal Feed Science and Technology, 2019Abstract The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects the inclusion of corn oil on the coefficients of total tract apparent digestibility (CTTAD) of dietary nutrients and palatability of dog foods, and on the faecal characteristics of dogs. Three experiments were carried out.

Diets made from natural ingredients were fed to four inbred strains of mice (BALB/cAnN, C3H/HeN, C57BL/6N and DBA/2N) to study the effects of different concentrations of dietary crude protein, 18% and 24% with crude fat concentrations of 4%, 8%, and 12% on reproduction and weanling growth. The parameters measured included the number of litters and pups

Termites (Neotermes aburiensis) were cultured for varying times from 0 to 180 days on dry, moistened and wet forms of rice husk, groundnut husk, maize cobs, cowpea husk and sorghum straw as a means of improving their nutritional values. Protein content increased with longer culture duration irrespective of substrate type and treatment.

The net energy value of crude fat for growth in pigs
Livestock Production Science, 1982Abstract An experiment with 36 growing pigs of Danish Landrace was performed to study the influence of crude (animal) fat on the digestibility of crude fat and on the efficiency of utilization of metabolizable energy. The pigs (females from 3 litters and male castrates from 3 litters) were distributed on six dietary treatments on a within-litter ...
