Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Therapy of disseminated murine leukemia with cyclophosphamide and immune Lyt-1+,2- T cells. Tumor eradication does not require participation of cytotoxic T cells

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1985
The ability of noncytolytic Lyt-1+,2- T cells immune to FBL-3 leukemia to effect eradication of disseminated FBL-3 was studied. Adult thymectomized, irradiated, and T-depleted bone marrow-reconstituted (ATXBM) B6 hosts were cured of disseminated FBL-3 by

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Characterization of avian natural killer cells and their intracellular CD3 protein complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Natural killer (NK) cell activity appears to be conserved throughout vertebrate development but NK cells have only been well characterized in mammals. Candidate NK cells have been identified in the chicken as cytoplasmic CD3+ and surface T cell receptor (

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Type I IFNs contribute to upregulation of PD-L1 during Chlamydia trachomatis infection

open access: yesInfection and Immunity
Chlamydia trachomatis is an obligate intracellular bacterial pathogen that if left untreated can cause reproductive harm. Failure of natural adaptive immunity results in chronic and repeat infections.

Functional characterization of infiltrating T lymphocytes in human hepatic allografts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
We have employed recently developed techniques in T-cell culturing to study the nature and function of infiltrating hepatic allograft T cells. Using the rationale that intragraft T cells are activated during cell mediated damage to the allograft, we were

Clone-specific T cell receptor antagonists of major histocompatibility complex class I-restricted cytotoxic T cells

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1993
A previous report showed that the proliferative response of helper T cells to class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-restricted antigens can be inhibited by analogues of the antigen, which act as T cell receptor (TCR) antagonists. Here we define
