A quantitative inventory of yeast P body proteins reveals principles of composition and specificity
P bodies are archetypal biomolecular condensates that concentrate proteins and RNA without a surrounding membrane. While dozens of P body proteins are known, the concentrations of components in the compartment have not been measured.

UCHL3 Regulates Subgenomic Flaviviral RNA Condensates to Promote Virus Propagation
ABSTRACT Flavivirus subgenomic RNAs (sfRNAs) antagonise antiviral defences, yet how sfRNAs are organized and maintained in cells remains poorly understood. Here we identify ubiquitin C‐terminal hydrolase L3 (UCHL3) as a post‐translational regulator of flavivirus sfRNA stability and function.

Supercritical CO2 foaming of fully amorphous PLA/PHA blends produced low‐density closed‐cell foams with fine cellular morphology. Blending with PHA enhanced biodegradation under simulated home‐composting conditions, achieving up to 84% mass loss after 4 months, whereas marine degradation remained limited and was mainly restricted to the PHA component ...

Molecular Interplay of PARN and Telomerase: Tail Modifiers and Disease Implications
Schematic representation of the molecular interplay between PARN, telomerase‐associated, and the involvement of p53 in regulating telomere maintenance and genome stability. The top panel shows how normal PARN levels are involved in regulating p53 levels and balanced telomerase activity through their regulatory interaction with TERC and TERRA, thus ...

BV1 interacts with AS2 and DCP2
(A) Sub-cellular localization of AS2-EGFP fusion protein expressed from a native AS2 promoter in transgenic Arabidopsis root. Propidiumiodide (PI) was used to stain the nucleus and plant cell wall. Note cytoplasmic AS2 bodies. Bar: 10μm.

The DCP2 protein is required for mRNA decapping in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and contains a functional MutT motif [PDF]
The major pathway of mRNA degradation in yeast occurs through deadenylation, decapping and subsequent 5' to 3' exonucleolytic decay of the transcript body. To identify proteins that control the activity of the decapping enzyme, which is encoded by the DCP1 gene, we isolated a high-copy suppressor of the temperature-sensitive dcp1-2 allele, termed DCP2.

The Role of N6‐Methyladenosine Modification in Health and Disease
N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) is the most prevalent internal RNA modification in eukaryotes, acting as a pivotal epitranscriptomic regulator of RNA metabolism. This modification plays a dual role: it maintains physiological homeostasis under normal conditions but drives disease progression when dysregulated.
