Antifibrotic activity of anthocyanidin delphinidin in carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatotoxicity in mice

Toxicology, 2010
The aim of this study was to investigate the hepatoprotective effects of anthocyanidin delphinidin in carbon tetrachloride (CCl(4))-induced liver fibrosis in mice. Male Balb/C mice were treated with CCl(4) dissolved in olive oil (20%, v/v, 2mL/kg) intraperitoneally (i.p.), twice a week for 7 weeks. Delphinidin was administered i.p.

Delphinidin inhibits BDNF-induced migration and invasion in SKOV3 ovarian cancer cells

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2017
Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), the TrkB ligand, is associated with aggressive malignant behavior, including migration and invasion, in tumor cells and a poor prognosis in patients with various types of cancer. Delphinidin is a diphenylpropane-based polyphenolic ring structure-harboring compound, which exhibits a wide range of pharmacological

Acylated delphinidin 3-rutinoside-5-glucosides in the flowers of Petunia reitzii

Phytochemistry, 2000
Two acylated anthocyanins were isolated from selected individuals of Petunia reitzii, and identified to be delphinidin 3-O-[6-O-(4-O-(4-O-(6-O-(trans-caffeoyl)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-tr ans-p-coumaroyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside]- 5-O-[beta-D-glucopyranoside] and delphinidin 3-O-[6-O-(4-O-(4-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-trans-p ...

Effects of delphinidin on mitochondrial function in endothelial cells

2011
Delphinidine (delph), an anthocyanin with the same pharmacological pro¿ lethan the total extract of red wine polyphenol, induces vasodilatation and possessanti-apoptotic property in endothelial cells (ECs) by mechanism involving nitricoxide (NO). The later can regulate mitochondrial (mt) function.
