This study explores biodegradable PVA‐based films enhanced with itaconic acid, chitosan, lemon peel extract, and silver nanoparticles for active food packaging. When applied to blueberries, these bioactive coatings reduced weight loss, maintained visual quality, and limited microbial growth, outperforming uncoated samples.
