FTO regulates mRNA stability and translational efficiency through its m6A‐demethylation activity. GSK3 functions as an upstream regulator of FTO, leading to its inhibition via phosphorylation. In male germ cells, FTO activity is kept in check by GSK3α.

IDO‐1 immunostaining identifies primary biliary cholangitis even in morphologically subtle bile duct lesions. IDO‐1 expression reflects cholangitis activity and is suppressed by ursodeoxycholic acid treatment, indicating its value as a dynamic diagnostic adjunct rather than a static marker of chronic damage.

In Populus, short days deactivate the growth‐promoting protein PtoHY5, turning off a growth accelerator and activating an abscisic acid‐driven brake. This directly couples growth cessation with dormancy, underscoring the role of abscisic acid in synchronizing these transitions for winter survival.

Abstract Cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms (cHABs) are worldwide issues. Reduced nitrogen forms (ammonium and urea) have recently been measured in freshwater systems at concentrations not previously recorded. These reduced nitrogen forms have been shown to favor the proliferation of harmful cyanobacteria.
