Identification of Natural and Artificial Modifications in DNA at the Nanometer Level
Short single‐ and double‐stranded DNA sequences with natural and artificial markers are examined at ambient conditions using TERS to identify and localize the labelled nucleobases. The differences between single‐ and double‐stranded DNA should provide clear experimental evidence of the extreme surface sensitivity of TERS.

ABSTRACT Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide, and the proportion of individuals diagnosed under the age of 50 years, referred to as early‐onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC), is increasing. The aim of this study was to evaluate how the demographic and clinical features of EOCR in northern Sweden and Finland have changed over time ...

Eukaryotic DNA mismatch repair
Current Opinion in Genetics & Development, 1999Eukaryotic mismatch repair (MMR) has been shown to require two different heterodimeric complexes of MutS-related proteins: MSH2-MSH3 and MSH2-MSH6. These two complexes have different mispair recognition properties and different abilities to support MMR. Alternative models have been proposed for how these MSH complexes function in MMR.
