PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

A 3D dynamic window approach with receding horizon optimization for real-time UAV path planning

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems
Efficient and reliable path planning in complex three-dimensional (3D) environments remains a critical challenge for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Although the dynamic window approach (DWA) has demonstrated effectiveness in local planning, it suffers ...

Dynamic Window Approach Using GOA Search Algorithm for Collision Avoidance Based on Obstacle Trajectory Prediction

open access: yesIEEE Access
Mobile robots not only need to navigate autonomously in complex environments, but also need to avoid collisions with dynamic obstacles, especially pedestrians. This paper realizes dynamic obstacles detection and state estimation algorithm with LiDAR data,

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

Path-Planning Strategy: Adaptive Ant Colony Optimization Combined with an Enhanced Dynamic Window Approach

open access: yesElectronics
Aiming to resolve the problems of slow convergence speed and inability to plan in real time when ant colony optimization (ACO) performs global path planning, we propose a path-planning method that improves adaptive ant colony optimization (IAACO) with ...

Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).

A Safe Maritime Path Planning Fusion Algorithm for USVs Based on Reinforcement Learning A* and LSTM-Enhanced DWA

open access: yesSensors
In complex maritime environments, the safety of path planning for Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) remains a significant challenge. Existing methods for handling dynamic obstacles often suffer from inadequate predictability and generate non-smooth ...

Optimal path planning using bidirectional rapidly-exploring random tree star-dynamic window approach (BRRT*-DWA) with adaptive Monte Carlo localization (AMCL) for mobile robot

open access: yesEngineering Research Express
Path planning is an important task for mobileF service robots. Most of the available path-planning algorithms are applicable only in static environments. Achieving path planning becomes a difficult task in an unknown, dynamic environment.

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...
