Evaluation of the Prevalence of Concomitant Idiopathic Cyclic Edema and Cellulite

open access: yesInternational Journal of Medical Sciences, 2011
The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of concomitant idiopathic cyclic edema with Grade II and III cellulite. All patients treated for Grade II and III cellulite were evaluated for idiopathic cyclic edema in a retrospective, quantitative ...

ZNF33B Promotes Japanese Encephalitis Virus Infection by Regulating the Stability of M6A‐Modified Trim25 to Control the Autophagy Process

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon JEV infection, ZNF33B recruits METTL14 to stabilize the METTL3‐METTL14 m6A methyltransferase complex, leading to increased m6A modification of host transcripts, including Trim25 mRNA. ZNF33B selectively binds m6A‐modified sites on Trim25 mRNA and accelerates its decay, resulting in reduced TRIM25 protein abundance.

Caffeic acid phenethyl ester alleviates 1,2-dichloroethane-induced toxic cerebral edema: central and peripheral mechanisms

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
Background1,2-Dichloroethane (1,2-DCE) is a widespread environmental contaminant as well as a frequent occupational hazard. Given that inflammation and oxidative stress are key mechanisms in 1,2-DCE-induced cerebral edema, we investigated the efficacy of

Human Urine Stem Cells Alleviate Pulmonary Fibrosis via Inhibiting Macrophage‐Myofibroblast Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Therapeutic role and mechanism of human urine stem cells (hUSCs) in pulmonary fibrosis. hUSCs alleviated pulmonary fibrosis by selectively inhibiting macrophage‐myofibroblast transition (MMT) in two ways: on one hand, hUSCs inhibited mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mtROS) production and apoptosis/senescence of epithelial cells in pulmonary ...

Nano‐Backpack Engineered Probiotics with Reactive Oxygen Species–Responsive Tungsten Release for Synergistic Therapy of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated probiotic system is engineered to execute a programmed therapeutic cascade against inflammatory bowel disease. Upon pathological signals, the system sequentially performs ROS scavenging, tungsten release, and selective pathogen suppression, thereby breaking the oxidative stress–dysbiosis cycle to remodel gut microbiota and reinforce ...

Reticular Bullous Epithelial Corneal Edema after Netarsudil Use for Elevated Intraocular Pressure with Concurrent Fuchs Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmology
Introduction: We describe a case of reticular bullous corneal epithelial edema associated with the use of netarsudil ophthalmic solution (0.02%) for elevated intraocular pressure. Case Presentation: A 74-year-old man with a complex ocular medical history,

THBS1+ Macrophages Exacerbate Modic Changes via SDC4‐Dependent Activation of NLRP3 Inflammasome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The illustration of THBS1+ macrophages exacerbate MCs via SDC4‐dependent activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. THBS1+ macrophage subpopulation was identified in MCs through single‐cell RNA sequencing. C. acnes and its metabolites activate THBS1 expression in macrophages via the TLR signaling pathway.
