Dimeric ellagitannins in plants of melastomataceae.
Six novel ellagitannins, four of which are dimers mutually correlated in their structures, have been isolated from Tibouchina semidecandra, and Medinilla magnifica. Their structures were elucidated based on spectral and chemical evidence.
