Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Predicting potential epitopes of structural proteins for Alpha, Delta, and Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2

open access: yesHeliyon
Background: Due to the emergence of highly transmissible variants, such as the recombinant subvariant XEC, SARS-CoV-2 continues to spread worldwide. Epitope-based vaccines have been developed since conventional antigen-based vaccines may not provide ...

Marked epitope- and allele-specific differences in rates of mutation in human immunodeficiency type 1 (HIV-1) Gag, Pol, and Nef cytotoxic T-lymphocyte epitopes in acute/early HIV-1 infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
During acute human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection, early host cellular immune responses drive viral evolution. The rates and extent of these mutations, however, remain incompletely characterized.

Suppression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3-dependent B lymphocyte terminal differentiation by BCL-6 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Lymphocytes usually differentiate into effector cells within days after antigen exposure, except in germinal centers where terminal differentiation is delayed while somatic hypermutation creates high-affinity antibody mutants. Here we investigate whether

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Protection against lethal cytomegalovirus infection by a recombinant vaccine containing a single nonameric T-cell epitope [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The regulatory immediate-early (IE) protein pp89 of murine cytomegalovirus induces CD8+ T lymphocytes that protect against lethal murine cytomegalovirus infection.

B lymphocytes that enter the germinal center late preferentially differentiate into memory cells that recognize subdominant epitopes

open access: yesImmunity
Summary Immune responses to pathogens and effective vaccines elicit germinal center (GC) responses wherein B cells undergo affinity maturation and develop into plasma cells (PCs) and memory B cells (MBCs). The GC reaction is initially seeded by a limited group of founder B cells, and subsequently further diversified by continual entry ...

Monoclonal antibody BA-1 to the human B lymphocyte marker CD24 recognizes a sialic acid (N-acetylneuraminic acid) dependent epitope in multi-valent display on peptide

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Immunology, 1990
SUMMARYEvidence is presented that monoclonal antibody BA-1, directed against a marker (CD24) of human lymphocytes of B cell lineage, recognizes a sialic aeul-dependent cpitopc. This conclusion is based on a scries of experiments exploiting the reaction of this antibody with bovine and ovine submaxillary mucins.

Functional and Immunological Relevance of Anaplasma marginale Major Surface Protein 1a Sequence and Structural Analysis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Bovine anaplasmosis is caused by cattle infection with the tick-borne bacterium, Anaplasma marginale. The major surface protein 1a (MSP1a) has been used as a genetic marker for identifying A.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...
