Three genes cloned from Fundulus heteroclitus (killifish) define a new P450 subfamily, CYP2P. Structurally, the CYP2Ps are related to fish CYP2Ns and mammalian CYP2Js. CYP2P transcripts are expressed predominantly in liver and intestine.

14,15-Epoxyeicosatrienoic acid inhibits prostaglandin E2production in vascular smooth muscle cells
14,15-Epoxyeicosatrienoic acid (EET), a cytochrome P-450 epoxygenase product of arachidonic acid (AA), reduced PGE2formation by 40–75% in porcine aortic and murine brain microvascular smooth muscle cells.

Inhibition of the soluble epoxide hydrolase promotes albuminuria in mice with progressive renal disease [PDF]
Epoxyeicotrienoic acids (EETs) are cytochrome P450-dependent anti-hypertensive and anti-inflammatory derivatives of arachidonic acid, which are highly abundant in the kidney and considered reno-protective.

Arachidonic acid (ARA) pathway.
ARA is metabolized by three enzyme families, cyclooxygenase (COX), lipoxygenase (LOX), and cytochrome P450 (CYP450), to produce numerous bioactive metabolites called oxylipins. Enzymes are shown in grey boxes.

Epoxyeicosatrienoic Acids and 20-Hydroxyeicosatetraenoic Acid on Endothelial and Vascular Function [PDF]
Endothelial and vascular smooth cells generate cytochrome P450 (CYP) arachidonic acid metabolites that can impact endothelial cell function and vascular homeostasis. The objective of this review is to focus on the physiology and pharmacology of endothelial CYP metabolites.
