The Impact of the Metal Mixture Inflammation Index on All‐Cause Mortality in Patients With Cardiovascular‐Kidney‐Metabolic Syndrome Stages 0–3: A Study Based on NHANES 1999–2010

open access: yesCardiovascular Therapeutics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Objective Environmental exposure to metals is recognized as a significant trigger of chronic inflammation and various systemic diseases, with inflammatory processes playing a central role in the development and progression of CKM syndrome. The MMII, which integrates multiple metal exposures and inflammatory responses, has demonstrated sensitivity in ...

Patterns of Organ‐Specific Proteomic Aging in Relation to Lifestyle, Diseases, and Mortality

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 24, Issue 12, December 2025.
We estimated 11 organ‐specific proteomic aging using the elastic net regularization model. Our findings revealed that organ‐specific proteomic aging is influenced by lifestyle factors and baseline health conditions, and can further predict all‐cause mortality and the onset of various diseases.

Chemical safety and the exposome

open access: yesEmerging Contaminants, 2023
Air pollution and rapid chemical intensification are major threats to the environment and human health. Today, we have produced over 350,000 chemicals, and current testing strategies do not meet the demands. Therefore, it is important to develop new approach methodologies (NAMs) that can help fill current information gaps.
