Expression and Immunogenicity Analysis of Recombinant Leptospira Interrogans Surface Protein LigA in Mouse Model

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 3, May 2025.
Implemented strategies in designing, production, purification and immunogenicity of the recombinant Leptospiral immunoglobulin‐like surface protein‐A (r‐Lig A) as a vaccine candidate. ABSTRACT Background Pathogenic strains of spirochetes of Leptospira spp. cause a globally distributed zoonotic disease called leptospirosis.

Pulmonary Hypertension: Molecular Mechanisms and Clinical Studies

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 3, March 2025.
The figure highlights the interplay of genetic and epigenetic mechanisms in pulmonary hypertension (PH) and their implications for therapeutic strategies. The genetic mechanism section features key genes implicated in PH pathogenesis. The epigenetic mechanism encompasses DNA methylation, RNA methylation, noncoding RNAs (miRNA, lncRNA), and histone ...

Human factor H-related protein 5 (FHR-5). A new complement-associated protein.

open access: yesThe Journal of biological chemistry, 2001
A novel human plasma protein has been identified as a universal component of complement deposits, when complement is detected immunohistochemically in vivo. The protein is homologous to complement factor H and related proteins and has been designated factor H-related protein 5 (FHR-5).

image_1_Complement Factor H-Related Protein 4A Is the Dominant Circulating Splice Variant of CFHR4.PDF

open access: yes, 2018
Recent research has elucidated circulating levels of almost all factor H-related (FHR) proteins. Some of these proteins are hypothesized to act as antagonists of the important complement regulator factor H (FH), fine-tuning complement regulation on human

The human factor H-related protein 4 (FHR-4). A novel short consensus repeat-containing protein is associated with human triglyceride-rich lipoproteins.

open access: yesThe Journal of biological chemistry, 1997
A novel apoprotein of an apparent molecular mass of 86 kDa in its unreduced form was identified in human triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. This protein was purified and the amino acid sequence of six proteolytic fragments was found to overlap with that of the factor H-related proteins. In parallel we identified the cDNA encoding a new complement factor H-
