Security Fault Tolerance for Access Control

Though an access control is securely designed and implemented, it can contain faults in development or be contaminated in operation.

On realization of fault-tolerant fuzzy controllers
Proceedings 6th IEEE International On-Line Testing Workshop (Cat. No.PR00646), 2002In this paper, we propose concurrent compensation for fuzzy controllers. The concurrent fault location is executed by observing each sum of two degrees of adjacent membership functions. Instead of the faulty degree in the antecedent part, we employ either 0 or degree of next membership function to the faulty part at the easily calculated abscissa.

Fault Tolerant Control of a Spherical UAV
2019 4th Conference on Control and Fault Tolerant Systems (SysTol), 2019This paper proposes an FTC schemes for a spherical UAV. The spherical UAV prototype consists of two counter-rotating propellers and eight control vanes. The proposed FTC scheme is based on combining sliding mode control with online control allocation to exploit the available actuator redundancy.

A fault-tolerant mechanism for simple controllers
1994There are many industrial controllers where no systematic fault-tolerant mechanisms are included because of cost constraints. This paper addresses that problem by making a proposal for a simple and low-cost fault-tolerant technique, yet very effective, that can be used even in the simplest controllers.
