Cardiovascular positron emission tomography imaging of fibroblast activation: A review of the current literature [PDF]

open access: yes
Fibrosis is one of the key healing responses to injury, especially within the heart where it helps to maintain structural integrity following acute insults such as myocardial infarction.

The Glioma Model micro-PET Imaging and Biodistribution of 68Ga Labeled Fibroblast Activation Protein Inhibitor

open access: yesJournal of Isotopes, 2022
To investigate the biodistribution and micro-PET imaging of 68Ga labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (68Ga-FAPI-04) in normal mice and glioma nude mice, 68Ga-FAPI-04 was synthesized using DOTA-modified fibroblast activation protein inhibitor ...

Click‐to‐Release Reactivity of Quaternary Anilinium Tetrazines Enables Cascade Assembly of Multifunctional Biomolecular Scaffolds

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Click chemistry has evolved from making covalent connections to also breaking bonds. Here, a cascade assembly is reported that combines these maneuvers to build multifunctional biomolecular scaffolds in a modular one‐pot reaction. The unifying azide release‐tetrazine hub clicks with a trans‐cyclooctene tag, rapidly liberates N,N‐dimethylaniline to ...

Integrated Clinical and Proteomic Profiling of CD19 Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cell Therapy in Progressive Systemic Sclerosis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective To characterize the clinical, immunologic, and proteomic changes associated with CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy in patients with progressive systemic sclerosis (SSc). Methods Patients with progressive SSc received CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)‐T cell therapy and were observed longitudinally for safety, clinical efficacy,

Usefulness of FAPα assessment in bronchoalveolar lavage as a marker of fibrogenesis: results of a preclinical study and first report in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

open access: yes, 2023
Fibroblast activation protein-α (FAPα) is a marker of activated fibroblasts that can be selectively targeted by an inhibitor (FAPI) and visualised by PET/CT imaging. We evaluated whether the measurement of FAPα in bronchoalveolar lavage fluids (BALF) and

Imaging of cardiac fibroblast activation in a patient after acute myocardial infarction using (68)Ga-FAPI-04

open access: yes, 2021
Our previous study has demonstrated the feasibility of noninvasive imaging of fibroblast activation protein (FAP)-expression after myocardial infarction (MI) in MI-territory in a rat model with (68)Ga-FAPI-04-PET.

Brain metastasis‐associated fibroblasts shape the tumour microenvironment to enhance cancer cell invasion

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Brain metastasis‐associated fibroblasts are active stromal components of the metastatic niche characterised by extracellular matrix remodelling and production of pro‐migratory mediators. They promote monocyte and cancer cell migration and enhance cancer cell invasion while having no growth‐promoting effect on cancer cells.
