Cardiovascular toxicity from immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy: an inflammatory continuum

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy has markedly improved outcomes in advanced malignancies but has also revealed a distinct spectrum of cardiovascular immune‐related adverse events. Myocarditis represents the most severe manifestation, while non‐inflammatory left ventricular dysfunction and vascular inflammation have emerged as additional ...

In Situ Self‐Assembled Molecular Fortifying Agent for Enhanced Retention and Therapeutic Efficacy of Radiopharmaceuticals

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
A molecular‐fortifying agent strategy based on in situ self‐assembly is developed to prolong tumor retention of radioligands. After tumor‐targeting, FAP‐α cleavage triggers nanofiber formation, presenting azide anchors for bioorthogonal capture of pre‐accumulated radioligands.

Integrated Multi‐Time‐Point 18F‐FAPI PET/CT and Immune Histopathology for Predicting Pathological Complete Response in Microsatellite‐Stable Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer Treated With Neoadjuvant Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, and Immunotherapy

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
Serial multi‐time‐point 18F‐FAPI PET/CT‐derived stromal kinetics and baseline immune‐histopathological features, including iTLS count and B‐cell density, jointly predicted pCR in MSS locally advanced rectal cancer. The resulting four‐variable model achieved a mean nested cross‐validated AUC of 0.874.

Contemporary Concise Review 2025: Interstitial Lung Disease

open access: yesRespirology, Volume 31, Issue 10, Page 974-982, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Multidisciplinary discussion remains the cornerstone of ILD diagnosis and management, with recent advances further strengthening the integration of clinical, radiological, pathological, and molecular information. Updated ILD nomenclature and classification better align disease terminology with underlying morphology and pathobiology.

Can FAPI–PET be used to evaluate cardiac fibroblast activation and predict left ventricular function in patients with cardiovascular diseases? A systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research
Background Fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI)–PET is a novel imaging modality that targets FAP. The purpose of this study was to conduct a meta-analysis and synthesize the available data about the sensitivity and specificity of FAPI–PET in ...

Mechanobiological feedback loops and quantitative decision thresholds in organ fibrosis: Translational principles for antifibrotic therapy

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 3, September 2026.
Multiorgan fibrosis arises when chronic injury activates fibroblasts and remodels extracellular matrix, whose increasing stiffness sustains disease through mechanotransduction pathways. Bidirectional cellular‐matrix feedback operates across lung, heart, liver, and kidney.
