Abstract Translation awards are an often‐overlooked category of literary awards, with research on them typically concentrating on specific individual awards. This paper adopts a comparative, macro approach to exploring translation awards in the Nordic countries (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland).
