Fucoidan exhibits various biological properties. We raised a novel antibody against fucoidan extracted from Cladosiphon okamuranus and developed a sandwich ELISA method to measure fucoidan. The fucoidan antibody was specific and did not cross-react with other polysulfated polysaccharides.

A fully edible wheat bran–algae substrate is fabricated through scalable mould‐compression and spray‐coating, enabling robust, food‐grade platforms for sustainable electronics. A chitosan barrier improves water resistance and ink compatibility, while activated‐carbon conductive films form uniform electrodes with Ohmic behaviour.

This review highlights the synthesis of chitosan nanoparticles from natural sources, the thorough characterization of them, and use of microscopic and spectroscopic methods.
