Ganoderic Acid A Metabolites and Their Metabolic Kinetics [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2017
Ganoderic acid A (GAA), a representative active triterpenoid from Ganoderma lucidum, has been reported to exhibit antinociceptive, antioxidative, cytotoxic, hepatoprotective and anticancer activities. The present study aims (1) to identify GAA metabolites, in vivo by analyzing the bile, plasma and urine after intravenous administration to rats (20 mg ...

Methyl Ganoderic Acid DM: A Selective Potent Osteoclastogenesis Inhibitor [PDF]

open access: yesThe Open Bioactive Compounds Journal, 2009
Increased osteoclastic bone resorption plays a central role in the pathogenesis of many bone diseases, and osteoclast inhibitors are the most widely used treatments for these diseases. Ganoderic acid DM, the main component of Ganoderma lucidum, has been known for its medicinal effects such as anti-androgen and anti-proliferative activities.

Integrated Transcriptomics and Nontargeted Metabolomics Analysis Reveal Key Metabolic Pathways in Ganoderma lucidum in Response to Ethylene

open access: yesJournal of Fungi, 2022
Ganoderic acid (GA) is an important secondary metabolite of Ganoderma lucidum with a diverse array of pharmacological properties. In this study, we found that exogenous ethylene increased the production of endogenous ethylene and ganoderic acid in G ...

Ganoderic acid A attenuates lipopolysaccharide-induced lung injury in mice. [PDF]

open access: yesBiosci Rep, 2019
AbstractThe present study aimed to investigate the protective effects of ganoderic acid A (GAA) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury. In mouse model of LPS-induced acute lung injury, we found that GAA led to significantly lower lung wet-to-dry weight ratio and lung myeloperoxidase activity, and attenuated pathological damages.

Novel Glycosylation by Amylosucrase to Produce Glycoside Anomers

open access: yesBiology, 2022
Glycosylation occurring at either lipids, proteins, or sugars plays important roles in many biological systems. In nature, enzymatic glycosylation is the formation of a glycosidic bond between the anomeric carbon of the donor sugar and the functional ...
