Evaluating the Role of Dietary Corn Particle Size on Production Traits and Egg Characteristics in Early‐Phase Laying Hens

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Feeding 600, 900, or 1200 μm corn particle sizes to early‐phase laying hens maintained stable production performance, egg quality, egg size, and fecal scores. Although average daily feed intake and yolk color exhibited a quadratic response from 24 to 30 weeks, the findings confirm that 1200 μm coarse corn is practically suitable for dietary inclusion ...

Effect of Mobola Plum (Parinari curatellifolia) Flour Incorporation on Physicochemical, Nutritional, and Antioxidant Properties of Cornstarch‐Based Composite Flours

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Mobola plum fruit flour addition to corn starch increases the physicochemical properties of the corn starch. It reduced the protein content of the corn starch after addition. Mobola plum fruit flour addition to corn starch increased the TPC and antioxidant activities of corn starch.

Flexible perovskite solar modules: Fabrication strategies and future prospects

open access: yesInfoMat, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
We first systematically summarized the fabrication strategies for flexible perovskite solar modules, including scalable coating and printing, interface engineering, low‐temperature crystallization, and mechanical reliability design. Then we emphasize how process control, material design, and module integration work together to enable high‐performance ...

Extracellular Vesicle‐Based miRNA Profiling in Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease: A Secondary Analysis of the MULTISITE Clinical Trial

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is the worldwide leading cause of liver‐related mortality with a prevalence of 75% among individuals with obesity and lacking screenings tools. Extracellular vesicles (EVs)‐based microRNAs (miRNAs) have emerged as promising biomarkers with important roles in the pathogenesis of ...

Strong spatial partitioning of mesozooplankton in a dynamic frontal zone shapes trophic transfer efficiency

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, Volume 71, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Frontal zones are often areas of increased biological productivity and have hydrographic gradients on short spatial scales. The small scale of gradients poses a challenge in identifying differences in zooplankton community structure and trophic transfer efficiency through the pelagic food web.
