This study examines the performance of state‐of‐the‐art artificial intelligence (AI) weather forecasting models in 2024. For tropical cyclone genesis forecasts in the western North Pacific, AI models generally perform better than the physics‐based European Centre for Medium‐Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) Integrated Forecasting System (IFS ...

Peixe Zircon as a Quality Control Reference Material in U‐Pb Geochronology by LA‐ICP‐MS
Key Points Peixe#0 zircon was characterised for U‐Pb geochronology using CA‐ID‐TIMS, SIMS and a long‐term LA‐ICP‐MS data set. The consistent results establish Peixe#0 as a reference material for U‐Pb quality control. Trace element heterogeneity requires careful, CL‐guided spot selection.

The GH growth axis plays an important role in the growth and development of animals and runs through the whole life of animals. Many studies have shown that molecular mutations in key genes of the GH axis will affect the growth and development of animals.

Effects of zearalenone on ovarian development of prepubertal gilts through growth hormone axis
This experiment aimed to establish the effects of zearalenone (ZEN) on ovarian development in prepubertal gilts through the growth hormone axis [growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) / growth hormone (GH) / growth hormone receptor (GHR)].

Abstract In teleost fishes, cortisol is the major corticoid and has both glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid actions. However, how fish tissues discriminate between these distinct corticosteroid actions is unclear. In mammals, the major factors responsible for intracellular corticosteroid regulation are glucocorticoid receptors (grs) and the ...

Goal Hierarchies: Understanding Sub‐Goal and Primary Goal Interdependency
Abstract There is increased research on how organizations respond to performance feedback on multiple goals. Most of it considers goals that have ambiguous ranking and thus differs from goal hierarchies with sub‐goals that are instrumental for accomplishing a primary goal.

Human growth hormone receptor (GHR) expression in obesity: II. Regulation of the human GHR gene by obesity-related factors [PDF]
In our previous analyses, we found significantly lower levels of growth hormone receptor (GHR) mRNA in adipose tissues of obese than in those of lean individuals, suggesting that idiopathic obesity involves GH resistance due to decreased GHR availability.
