Ginkgetin improved experimental colitis by inhibiting intestinal epithelial cell apoptosis through EGFR/PI3K/AKT signaling

Ginkgetin inhibited intestinal epithelial apoptosis in mice with experimental colitis, at least in part, by activating EGFR pathway and interfering with PI3K/AKT signaling activation, explaining the underlying mechanism for ameliorating colitis, which may provide new options for the treatment of IBD.
